Meeting You at Festivals

Over the past couple months, several of us in the communication department have been taking our CURE booth and going to some pretty cool Christian music festivals. In August we were at Purple Door, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and in September we were at Uprise Festival in Shippensburg, PA, and then at Awakening Festival in Leesburg, Virginia.

It was a really cool opportunity to meet lots of new people and share the mission of CURE. It’s also something we plan to do a lot more of as the months go by.

But the really cool thing was getting a chance to meet many of you who are already CURE supporters. A lot of you said you were first introduced to us through a local radio station, the majority of which heard us via our good friends at WordFM.

That meant a lot to me, and to the rest of our team who are constantly working to communicate with you via media that are one step removed from actual face to face communication. Lots of the time we are working really hard to say things to you that we hope are hitting home but don’t always get the benefit of seeing your immediate response from. So getting to talk to many of you face to face was a very refreshing experience.

There were lots of other highlights from our time promoting CURE at the festivals. Here are a few of them:
