California 7th graders make a difference

Michelle Maciel, the 7th grade teacher at Kings Christian School in Lemoore, CA, recently wrote us the following:

The 7th grade student council chooses one mission project each year.  They heard about CURE through our local AIR1 Christian radio station and chose this as their project.  They sold small candy bars for 25 cents each during recess for the last quarter of our school year to earn $100 for CURE (that’s 400 candy bars).

The student council members were Cole Gruen (president), Haley Castillo (vice-president), Chandler Maciel (treasurer), and Brandon McDaniel (secretary).  There were sixteen students in the 7th grade this year.

We’re grateful for the support of the Kings Christian School 7th graders; their hard work will help bring healing to one of our CUREkids.  You can make a difference for a CUREkid, too, with the One Child Challenge.  Learn more at http://uk.cure.org/challenge.
