Mead Minutes: Celebrating the Changemakers

Greetings from Kijabe!! We are back from out in Maji Moto! I find this strange writing in the late afternoon, but early this morning I took a hike up the surrounding hills of Maji Moto. The view was spectacular as always. To a small degree, the rains have fallen there, so some of the landscape is green. We still noted a lot of dust blowing around, but overall the area was doing well. The cows, goats, and sheep looked healthy, as did the people.

Jana and I had a great time away visiting friends. We both agree it is a very special place for us. We love the people there and enjoy escaping to the natural beauty of the Mara. Jana was busy Saturday and some of Sunday teaching her sewing classes. Ntutu and I left Maji Moto at 5AM Saturday to go off to the game park. Sounds like a fair trade to me?!
