About Ehona
Children are a gift from God, and Ehona was no exception. His mother Esther told me, “ Alizaliwa na shida zake zote, hakuna ile ya kuongezeka baadaye.” Meaning he came into the world with more than enough problems, but thankful no other issues emerged, as he got older.
Ehona has a condition known as Arthrogryposis, which basically means stiff joints. Currently there is no reverse for this condition, but children often go through physical therapy and surgeries to help with the pain and dysfunction of the foot. Thankfully Esther was able to seek help for her son while he was still very young.
Ehona responded positively to most of the treatment, but unfortunately, his clubfoot seemed stubborn. When they came to us, his mother was bold enough to confess that it was her fault that her son still had the clubfoot. “I did not obediently follow the doctors instructions the first time around, but I am now ready to continue the process.” Our doctors are more than willing to do the surgery, please join me in praying for Ehona and the difficult road of recovery he has ahead.
