Diacha lives in Malawi and has joined fingers, and in Malawi the sort of specialty medical care Diacha needs is scarce. There are 100 million children in the world just like Diacha who have little hope for the future.
Many can't play with their friends or go to school, and when Diacha grows up, things that we hope for like marriage or finding a job will be difficult or impossible...all because Diacha has a curable disability! But you can change Diacha's life forever.

You can help Diacha right now. Maybe you can afford the $1000 that will provide the care he needs. Maybe you can offer $30. Or maybe you can introduce Diacha to others who can help...

About Diacha

In the villages of Africa, everyone’s first reaction to a child’s physical deformity is not that it is a birth defect caused by genetic mutation or developmental problems, their go-to is that it has something to do with the character of the mother, a punishment for something she did, or witchcraft. So when one-year-old Diacha Aufi was born with two conjoined fingers on his left hand, the village started asking questions.

Diacha’s mom, Agness, has been faced with lots of questions about herself and her son in the past year as nosy neighbors try to get to the bottom of the juicy story that led to her son to be born with a defect. Agness is tired of the interrogation and she’s nervous about her son’s future, most specifically she is worried that he will be made fun of as he grows up.

They are all very happy to be given the opportunity to have surgery to fix this problem at CURE and everyone is looking forward to resuming, or in Diacha’s case starting, a normal life.
