Be part of the cure by getting out in the field, with patients, doctors and nurses. Our short term trips are always in need of passionate volunteers.
We have three types of medical trips available, suited to different skill areas and experience levels:
Trips for medical students
We offer medical students the chance to gain valuable on-the-job experience as well as an eye-opening insight into the daily life of a medic in the developing world. To find out more, click here.
Trips for Medical Staff
We have specialised teams that require members with specific skills and licensing. These include, but are not limited to, orthopaedic, plastic surgery, paediatric neurosurgery, MDs, RNs, LPNs, PAs, pharmacists, hygienists, psychologists, and dentists. As well as giving you the chance to experience the realities of working in your field in the developing world, volunteering in this way provides much needed relief for our full-time staff, giving them some time off. Current vacancies across these areas can be found here.
Nurse Training programme
We organise teams of Registered Nurses and Nurse Anaesthetists to visit our hospitals to train and teach the local nurses. This is a vital part of making the work of CURE sustainable and continues to benefit the children long after the trip ends. If you are interested in getting involved, click here.
