Jordanne Whiley MBE

Five-time double’s wheelchair tennis grand slam champion, Jordanne Whiley MBE is a long-time supporter of CURE International UK.

‘I am delighted to be an Ambassador for CURE International UK, a wonderful charity who perform operations on disabled children in the developing world and give them a chance to live life to the full. Often in developing countries disabled children are seen as a burden and many of them don’t attend school.’

In 2013 Jordanne visited the CURE hospital in Blantyre, Malawi.

‘It was the most amazing experience of my life and it made me want to help them even more. The children were so happy and a joy to be around, I even got to see one little girl walk for the first time! I am dedicated to help CURE spread the word about not letting anything stand in your way, and to help the poorer countries understand that disabled children have as much right to be free and achieve their dreams just as much as anybody else.’
