Mervyn is Chief Executive of CSW, a Christian Human Rights Advocacy organisation he founded 40 years ago. He has much international experience working with persecuted minorities in over 25 countries, and testifying in Parliament, EU, Washington DC and the UN. He also advises the Foreign Secretary as a member of his Human Rights Advisory Group.

Other governance roles include being Deputy Chairman of Christian charity CWR and a governor of Monkton Combe School in Bath.

In HM Queen’s 2019 New Year’s Honours list he was appointed as a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George in recognition of his services to Human Rights and Freedom of Religion or Belief.
