One little girl who is no stranger to CURE is Anya. She was born with congenital tibial pseudarthrosis, commonly referred to as ‘false joint’. This condition prevents the bone from growing properly and as a result the leg becomes severely deformed.
Thanks to a wonderful group of UK donors, Anya could be treated with a Taylor Spatial Frame. This is an external fixator used to treat complex fractures and bone deformities. Now walking on crutches, Anya needs to have one more operation. She will soon be walking on straight legs for the first time.
