Hospital of Zimbabwe
In 2020, CURE International joined with the Zimbabwe Orthopaedic Trust to form the CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe which specialises in the treatment and care of children living with physical disabilities. The $5 million dollar hospital was built and refurbished by the Zimbabwe Orthopaedic Trust in partnership with the Zimbabwean government and sits on 10 acres of land. The hospital campus comprises 4 buildings, housing 45 patient beds in the newly refurbished children’s ward. The hospital also houses a newly constructed operating theatre block with three operating rooms. There is a central administration block that houses offices, an outpatient clinic, kitchen and laundry. The CURE Children’s hospital of Zimbabwe is the first hospital in Zimbabwe to serve vulnerable children and families through the provision of orthopaedic and spiritual care and is set to open early 2021.
A SPECIAL ANNOUCEMENT
Become a CURE Zimbabwe Hero
With thanks to our generous donor, who supported the launch of CURE Zimbabwe children’s hospital has yet again agreed to double your impact. Our donor will match all monthly gifts made to CURE Zimbabwe up to £150,000 over the next THREE YEARS*.
We are so grateful for all the support you have given us so far, but if you have ever considered giving monthly to support this wonderful children’s hospital. Now is the time.
For example, a monthly donation of just £40 means each year you will cover the costs of a child’s corrective and rehabilitative care, helping them return to a normal life.
Monthly giving is great as it spreads the financial impact of your giving over the year and provides predictable income for CURE Zimbabwe, especially important as the hospital is in its first few years of activities.
